Dance

Job, Dance, and Game

It's been awhile so here we go.

I'm still looking for work. Mostly this has been an internet search using sites like Craig's List and MadisonJobs.com. By this point I've got four or five different resume and cover letter sets depending on the job. I've pretty much been looking at technical writing positions, though also a few banking and insurance entry level jobs. Here's hoping.

Unemployment does not agree with me in general. I find I have too much time on my hands. While I try to get out of the house as much as possible, usually for dance and martial arts classes, the fact remains I need to actually be busy, not simply finding things to occupy my time. Money would be good too. I'm healthy up there but this is slowly driving me mad. Still better than the Sheraton, though.

Dancing at least goes well. Looking back on the past few months my happiest times have been while I've been dancing, usually in Beloit but often up here in Madison. My lindy class finished on Monday and unfortunately there won't be any new classes until the school year starts again. Likewise the ballroom smooth dances class I signed up for was canceled after the first session due to insufficient attendance (two students, counting myself); at least they gave us what was basically a private lesson. That leaves my just west coast class. On the plus side it's a great class and UWMBDA will continue over the summer.
