Don't know, running with it anyway

I have Tom Petty's "Runnin' Down a Dream" stuck in my head, so here are some lyrics.

It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I had the radio on, I was drivin'
Trees flew by, me and Del were singin' little Runaway
I was flyin'

Yeah runnin' down a dream
That never would come to me
Workin' on a mystery, goin' wherever it leads
Runnin' down a dream

I felt so good like anything was possible
I hit cruise control and rubbed my eyes
The last three days the rain was un-stoppable
It was always cold, no sunshine

I rolled on as the sky grew dark
I put the pedal down to make some time
There's something good waitin' down this road
I'm pickin' up whatever's mine

[Chorus Out]
I can't pick up any specific ties but it feels right.

Rocky Horror was great last night. I don't care what people say, the cast did a phenomenal job. There were some tech issues and the trannies weren't as into it as they could have been, but overall it was one of the best performances I've ever seen. Personally I had a blast. This was the big four-oh (that's 40), and the experience paid off. Most of my callbacks went off great, and I got wonderful responses from people.

Afterwards I stayed behind to help clean up and worked my way into the cast party. Jordana was nice and allowed me in. I drank with fynixsoul and Melissa (Beth and Hunter, don't worry: she's calmed down) and several trannies who I had only vague recollections of from last year (I feel so terrible about that). I'm about 80% sure Becky (trannie Eddie) was coming onto me. I didn't respond because, well, ask me about it in private. Suffice it to say that after a good amount of drinking and a rousing game of Never Have I Ever I enjoyed the cast party for the reasons people normally enjoy cast parties.

See title of this post.

Today I went and saw Mirrormask with jinxmurphy, adsartha, not_a_girl, runthebear, Chris, and Alexis. The movie was beautiful. It had definite room for improvement but it was put together incredibly goregously. It was like watching a moving Geiger painting. I understand the critic's complaints that it doesn't do enough with the "leaving the circus to run away and join real life" aspect but that wasn't the point of the movie. It's not about taking control of one's life, it's about celebrating beauty. I don't think the director fully understood this; the story is irrelevant beyond it's message.

Then tonight there was larp. Plot happened. I know most people who aren't involved don't care and most people who are involved know what happened, so all I'll say is I've got some very interesting blue booking sessions coming up.

And after larp there was Baron Munchausen. What more must be said?

And after the Baron there was lounge hangout with Bryce, fynixsoul, and resplendant_sun.

Good night and goodnight.
