Library, Dancing

Today was good. I went downtown to the library, the big public library. It's been awhile since I went to a big library and just let myself go. I looked at several books and just had fun amongst all the paper and the words. There was so much marble there but it wasn't cold, wasn't distant. The place felt homey, the way a good used bookstore does but without the cat. They need more comfortable chairs, but it gave the place a scholarly feel with all the big awkward tables and hard chairs. Hooray for books!

There was a little dancing tonight. I got my mother dance lessons for her and my father as a birthday present, but he couldn't make it tonight so I went as her partner. It wasn't what I was looking for but it was good to be on the floor at least. No matter; there'll be dancing on Saturday, and hopefully good music too. More info if it happens. *fingers crossed*

When my father did get home (he was in Virginia) it was late and he crashed on the couch with me to watch Family Guy. I cannot express how happy I am that my father enjoys that show.
